Turnover grows 4.5% at Sweaty Betty but losses hit £5.25m

07 Oct 2026

Sweaty Betty reported that turnover for the 53 weeks to 3 January 2026 grew 4.5 per cent to £146.72 million, which includes £3.7 million from an additional week. The UK remained its principal market, generating £111 million or 76 per cent of sales, while the rest‑of‑world segment rose to £26 million from £20 million, representing 18 per cent of turnover, and the US contributed £9.45 million or 6 per cent. After returning to profit last year with a £1.57 million gain – the first since 2021 – the activewear specialist posted pre‑tax losses of £5.25 million, which it attributed to higher administrative and operational costs linked to restructuring. The company said 2025 was a year of strategic implementation, focusing on sales growth, store streamlining, digital channel strengthening and customer loyalty, and noted that restructuring across the brand and its parent, Wolverine Worldwide, impacted reported profitability.
